This initiative first began after several accounts of anti-black and racist experiences were uncovered by Black Whitney HS alumni, inspired to finally stand up and speak out after the nation witnessed the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis. As more stories came to the surface, we realized two things:
1. We experience and relate to similar trauma.
2. We accomplish more together in unity.
Below is proof that, even in quarantine, Black folks unified and mobilized are one of the most powerful forces on earth. That together we can create real change to improve our lives, health, and wellbeing.
